Yall my dad had 2 full time jobs, 7 kids a stay at home wife, and a slight drinking problem (not violent, just lots passing out on couch drunk). He still made a big deal out of mother's and her birthday. He would have all of us spend the night somewhere, cook her favorite meal, take her to the movies, than casino (she loved slots). He cooked/prepped everything we ate, she usually just had to heat it in oven, he loved taking us kids to appts, sports, activities ect. We had individual date nights with him at least 3 time a year. He knew all 7 of us kids favorites, dislikes, medical, ect. Honestly the only thing my dad ever refused to do was dishes, he said he plenty in his childhood and now it was our turn. lol. He was so lk tho, all he wanted for father's day was to sleep in and have the TV to himself all day no interruption.

I’m that dad. I made crepes for the family for breakfast after I cleaned the dishes from the dinner I cooked the night before. Now I’m at the park with the kids. They entertain themselves so I sit and read my book. I heard my teenage daughter is going to cook dinner; I’ll be around to assist since there surely will be questions about ingredients, pots and utensils, and ahh that impossible internal cooking temperature!
