I've worked in food customer service. it was my thrill to give people their food and if something was forgotten or made wrong I was always on top of trying to fix it. then door dash came around and a person who wasn't even the driver but a buddy was yelling at me. after seven years of it I had to leave. there's more to the story but not enough comment space 🫶🏻

I work in a bakery…yesterday, a guy who is probably a father, stopped and said to me “thank you for feeding us. And I know you probably don’t want to be here today but thank for working today.” It was little but it made my day good enough.

Not fast food but for Father’s Day today we ate out and our server seemed to be having a ROUGH day, I tipped her 22% (bare minimum tbh) and my dad was a little hard on me about it but I’ve been in her shoes, it’s human decency and I have the money to give then I ALWAYS will. Service workers ESPECIALLY those in the food industry deserve grace.

When I was 16 and I worked at McDonald’s, there were a lot of regulars that came in since it was a small town. There was one older gentleman in particular who would always bring little trinkets or different pieces of jewelry and would call us over one by one to gift us with these. 10 years later and I still have that same bracelet and I think of him often because things like that really keep your day going. Was happy to be of service 🫡
