mohammed abhuzar :
actual meaning of this ayah..
Surah Aal-e-Imran (Chapter 3), Ayat 80–81 – Meaning in English
Ayat 80 (3:80):
"Nor would he command you to take the angels and the prophets as lords. Would he command you to disbelief after you had submitted to Allah?"
Meaning:
A true prophet of Allah would never tell people to worship angels or prophets instead of Allah. He would never lead believers towards disbelief after they have submitted to God.
Ayat 81 (3:81):
"And [remember] when Allah took the covenant of the prophets, saying: 'Whatever I give you of the Scripture and wisdom, then there comes to you a Messenger confirming what is with you, you must believe in him and support him.' Allah said, 'Do you agree and accept My covenant?' They said, 'We agree.' He said, 'Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses.'"
Meaning:
Allah took a promise from all the prophets that if a messenger came confirming the truth they already had, they should believe in him and support him. The prophets accepted this covenant, and Allah became a witness to their agreement.
