Get her used to the spice by dipping it in the yogurt sauce ( raita). That’s how we introduce our kids to the spices and heat.

Trying new food is essential, my family was always really picky and then when I became an adult, I started trying different foods. Then I realized what I missed out on so it’s really awesome that she’s going to try different food.

I'm 40 and I just started eating Indian food like a month ago. Here in North Jersey. It is so fire! It's not the cheapest, but the spices they use are so different. cook butter chicken at home it'll cost you 100 bucks 😂

you can always ask for some pain yogurt on the side for her to dip the food in. it helps cool the spice level down a bit. even raita tends to have some spices so instead ask for just plain yogurt.

i wish i tried indian food as a kid. my mom refused to ever try it or order it so i grew up unable to. then when i went to umass amherst i was able to try indian food for the first time and now i love it
