As someone who doesn’t have scoliosis, I’m js curious, does getting the surgery hurt? I’ve seen a lot of ppl talk abt it but I’m js curious to know from anyone who has it.

98 degrees. Got my first fusion at 9. They had to stop 3/4ths of the way because my leg was going paralyzed (still don’t have full feeling in that leg). When they went in to finish it two years later, my new surgeon said the preexisting screws were dangerously long. So, rather than just finishing the last quarter, they took everything out and redid it completely. I had 22 holes in my spine from the first operation. Brittle ass spine. They also connected my hips to my spine so they wouldn’t shift. I don’t have an X-ray of the final finished product, but I’ll post the pic of the long ass screws under this

I went to the doctor three months ago and was told I have scoliosis and should do physiotherapy, which I did. But somehow I feel like it's not helping, and I have a headache every single day. Every single day, all day long. From the moment I wake up in the morning until I go to sleep, and it's the same every day. I don't want to keep taking medication for headaches because it doesn't help and the headaches don't get any better. I also had an MRI of my head before I was told I have scoliosis because I've had headaches every single day since last year (probably a year already), but the MRI showed everything was fine. My question is, are these headaches caused by the scoliosis? And does anyone else have the same problem with headaches and have any tips on how to make them a little less painful? I have the same problem with abdominal pain. I have it every day, all day long, and it just won't go away. I've had all sorts of tests done and even been to the hospital, but they found nothing and said everything is normal. Does anyone else have this problem and have any tips? Could the abdominal pain be related to scoliosis? I would be grateful for any help.

Hi there! I just had surgery—I had the procedure on the 24th of this month and was discharged around noon today. I had a 42-degree curvature. You have no idea how anxious and scared I was, but I’d love to help anyone who is afraid or has questions about scoliosis surgery; I’m truly happy to answer any questions or clear up any doubts you might have on the subject.
