@ricky88tech: ***NEW UPDATE ON MAIN PAGE***. Last night at Great Wolf Lodge Scottsdale we witnessed something that made us uncomfortable enough to pack our stuff and leave. A little girl, maybe 6 years old, was alone on the 5th floor knocking on random hotel room doors. We initially thought she was taking the elevators by herself, but she later said she'd been taking the stairs. As we walked to our room she kept looking back at us nervously. My step sister watched her knock on a room where a shirtless man answered the door with all the lights off. The little girl asked, "Can my friend come out and play?" The man replied, "Uh... they're sleeping." My step sister asked if he knew her and he basically said no before shutting the door. That immediately set off alarm bells. My step sister walked the girl back to what she said was her room on the 3rd floor. When we asked if her parents were there, she first said yes, then changed her story and said they were looking for her brother at the water park. We told her to stay put while I notified staff. My step sister and another guest stayed nearby to make sure she didn't leave. Staff said they'd be right up. Twenty minutes passed and nobody came. Then another little girl who looked identical to her ran up asking if we'd seen her brother. She said they were twins and that her dad sent her because her sister said strangers had followed her. Staff finally arrived. They knocked on the room and were about to leave when my step sister suggested using the twin's wristband to access it. They went inside for maybe 10-20 seconds, came back out, and said nobody was in there. None of it made sense. The staff members identified themselves as security. They took the twin and started leaving. I told them I needed confirmation the girls were okay or I was calling the police. The female staff member stayed behind, gave me her phone number, and promised an update once they confirmed the girls were okay. No update ever came. After waiting, we called the police ourselves. When the officer arrived, things felt even stranger. The people who had identified themselves as security didn't approach him at all and seemed to be avoiding him. I pointed that out to the officer. He agreed it was a little odd. He checked the room with us nearby. Nobody answered. A woman in a red shirt told the officer she was the only security officer on duty. When I asked why the two staff members who took the twin had identified themselves as security, she changed her story and suddenly knew exactly where the girls were. Another guest with his family was also following the situation and told us he didn't trust what was going on either. Downstairs, the original staff member who identified herself as security told the officer she knew where the family was, then walked off so quickly he lost track of her. The officer eventually located a man who said he was the father. He was with the twins and a little boy. After speaking with them, the officer essentially said everything appeared okay. I told him the entire situation was still odd. I specifically asked whether anyone was going to check the room on the 5th floor where the little girl had been knocking and where the shirtless man answered the door in a dark room to see if he even had children with him at the lodge. The look he gave me told me that wasn't going to happen and left me with more questions than answers. Maybe there's a completely innocent explanation. Maybe there isn't. But between the little girl knocking on a random man's door, the dark room, him saying his kids were asleep at around 7:45-8:00 PM, the conflicting stories, the missing parents, the twin being sent alone, the room that was suddenly empty, the lack of updates, the conflicting security claims, and the way the entire situation was handled, every instinct in my body told me something was off. We packed our stuff and left right then and there. Watch your kids. UPDATE: Currently speaking with staff.

If you see a comment in this section that DOES NOT agree this whole chain of events is odd, it’s a bot. Either a bot or a burner acc so they can fix whatever this does to their image as an establishment. I’m genuinely sick after reading through that caption.

Thank you for being curious and vocal. It’s up to us adults to protect children, bc clearly, there are many w bad intentions.

The police not really wanting to get involved was a big red flag

I was told by a detective to report everything, even if you’re second guessing yourself. The worst that can happen is that it was nothing.

Even if it was “nothing”, a place with so many child visitors should have very clearly marked security that follows protocol in this type of situation. That alone is a red flag.

I work at a hotel In Chandler. If a kid is by themselves we have to call the cops no matter the context. We always call police, even if the parent comes back they still have to talk to the police. As a hotel member of staff, This makes no sense

Please call the FBI, this is def a case of traffic, you can also file a report at the district attorney’s office. The police sometimes aren’t helpful or afraid to get involved due to safety reasons……

Never let a child out of your sight until you see IDENTIFICATION. If someone claims they’re a security guard, they will have an associated id card. If they have one, take a picture of it for the police.

If you’re right good job for raising awareness. If you’re wrong, good job for raising awareness!!! It’s so hard to follow your gut sometimes and no one wants to get involved… but at worst, you’re wrong and everything moves on. If you’re right at the very least it’s making people think twice.
