rubbing causes friction that creates heat and the silver is not cold its room temp if the beer is roo. temp and the bar is roo. temp its not pulling anything no temperature difference to pull heat from

I call bs. First off rubbing it creates friction which creates heat, just laying it there would be more effective. Secondly, your hand is adding back any heat that you’re transferring to the silver block.
