I would like to know how they actually feel on these days - im an only child (no contact nearly 20 years) theres no way they dont see/feel the absence on these days? and still do absaloutely nothing to fix it! its a shit situation but sometimes we have to be selfish and do whats best for us 💪🏼.

I needed this today thank you Mel! This was my first Father’s Day no contact with my dad, it also marks a year since seeing my dad for the last time. I haven’t struggled as much as I thought I would, in fact it was probably the best Father’s Day I’ve had so far

really begrudged sending my dad a father's day card, found the simplest/plainest one. Currently low contact (just from him not contacting me because of his wife) and if I hadn't sent a card it would have caused more aggro than the fact that he barely contacts me 🙃
