If you have to ask for this, he's not the one. Mine never fails to text me. Going to the store, going to take a shower, going out with friends, going to nap, whatever. If he knows I'm awake, he tells me. And I've never had to ask him to. He just always has. And I do the same. The ONLY time either of us fails to update is if we accidentally fall asleep, that's it.

If you cant exist for a few hours without your partner thats a problem in you not your partner

😘🫶🏻🙏🏻Girls, it’s not worth it. Wake up. Life is too short to spend it waiting on texts, FaceTimes, photos, and empty promises. You deserve someone who is physically present, genuinely interested in you, and willing to make the effort. Stop wasting your precious time pining over people who give excuses about being “too busy.” When someone truly cares, they find a way. Get out and live. Travel. Take a girls’ trip. Try new things. Make memories. Laugh. Explore. Enjoy the life that’s happening right now. Don’t sit at home waiting for a call from someone who can’t be bothered to show up for you. You deserve more than crumbs. You deserve someone who is excited to be part of your life.🫶🏻🙏🏻😘😘😘😘

i was with my ex for 2 years. im aussie and he was american, so the distance was huge, but we made it work. we talked constantly, and even when we were out with friends wed still call for a bit or text throughout the day. near the end of the relationship, he suddenly disappeared for days, then almost a week. i kept reaching out and got nothing back. when he responded, he said he was "detoxing" and needed time away from his phone. turns out he was actually on a trip with another girl. she found out about me because i was texting and calling him, and she ended up telling him to text me n tell me to bugger off. thats when he admitted he had been cheating. looking back, the thought crossed my mind once or twice, but he always had an explanation for everything, so i convinced myself i was overreacting. niw im in a new relationship. i swore id never do long distance again, but we're still technically long distance, just in different aussie states. the difference is communication. he texts me throughout the day, calls me every day, tells me his plans, and reassures me without me even having to ask. it took me a while to get here, but ive learned that distance was never the problem. the problem is when someone stops communicating, stops respecting the relationship, and leaves you wondering where you stand. distance doesnt make relationships fail, people do.

some of my friends think we have an unhealthy and controlling relationship with so much texting and video calls. But it's the little updates throughout the day that keep us going. Over 3 years now, but not a single day without communication. 🥰

As someone in a long distance relationship, the messages matter. They truly do. I'm lucky he understands that and keeps me updated on his plans so I know when he's out and I can do my own things. If it's a spontaneous thing he messages me to let me know, or he calls me on the way there. If he can't one of his friends does. Sometimes they call just so I'd be involved. On his graduation day he didn't have his phone so he couldn't call when the ceremony ended. His best friend video called me so I could see the cap toss and congratulate him myself. The small messages, the small moments all matter

It was not the distance. It was the selfishness and lack of care he delonstrates. It would have been the same living together.

Sometimes the people who mean the most to us don't realize how much space they occupy in our hearts. No matter how much time passes, some memories stay, some feelings remain, and some people never truly leave your mind. Appreciate the ones you care about while you still have the chance.

I understand this all too well. Its hard not hearing anything. You need to at least hear hi, I'm ok, how are you, we can talk later just something. Silence is a killer, just not knowing anything.

In my opinion, long-distance relationships rarely work out because human beings are social by nature. Having a relationship with someone who is far away for a long period of time simply goes against how most people naturally connect and bond. If you’re in an LD relationship and your partner starts pulling away, ghosting, disappearing for days, and then comes back acting as if nothing happened, you have to consider the possibility that someone else may be filling the space your absence has created. That possibility is often much higher than people want to admit. No matter what someone tells you, no matter how many texts they send, or how reassuring they sound on the phone, you can never truly know what is happening when they’re far away. Text messages carry very little weight because people can write almost anything. They can tell you they miss you, think about you all the time, and still not mean a word of it. Sometimes people say what you want to hear simply to keep you around, to make sure you don’t leave, and to keep you as an option while they figure out what they really want. Of course, not every long-distance relationship fails. Some people make it work. But many don’t, and one of the biggest reasons is that people need companionship, physical presence, and real-life connection. At some point, one person may start filling the emotional or physical void left by the other person’s absence.

I honestly don't think it was the distance that ended the relationship. Distance only makes you notice the things that are already missing. If someone genuinely loves you and values the relationship, sending a quick update or a simple message isn't that hard. My boyfriend and I are long-distance too, yet he never fails to update me when he's out with friends, busy, or going somewhere. A quick message only takes a few seconds. If someone wants to make you feel included in their life, they will. Distance isn't the problem, lack of consideration is.

im married. my husband lives in Pakistan, I live in Sweden. for 1 and half year we have been together. we have our busy lives but still makes time to eachother. we call at least 3 times during the day.. last call is always at least 1 hour. we keep eachother updated with messages, videos and voice notes. there are 3 hours time difference between us and we still make it work. sometimes we sleep with the camera open. if u really want long distance to work, it can. u just need to just eachother and make an effort
