I’m officially 50 years old, and my goal is to keep my skin as healthy as possible! This is my skin in morning light, no filters, zero makeup. My skin is not perfect, and as a child of the 80s I certainly am trying to make up for the sun exposure with Crisco, tanning beds and lack of SPF from those years! Here’s what I do: 1. Skin is a reflection of nutrition, hydration and gut health! Inside matters! I focus on water consumption, high quality nutrition, probiotics/prebiotics and added supplements. I limit alcohol, sugar and processed foods. 2. Skincare- I have a routibe and do it 2x daily! 3. SPF- I use a tinted moisturizer with SPF everyday and add 40spf on days I will be outdoors more. 4. Facials- I try to get one at least yearly 5. Botox- I get it 2 times a year for my 11’s and around my eyes. 6. Filler- I have had it 2 times in 5 years to add a little lost volume in my cheeks. 7. Red light therapy- I just started this at home and working on a consistent routine! What I have never done: I have yet to try microneedling, any laser resurfacing or peels. I’m not opposed to trying them, but they have not made it to the top of my spending list yet!
