There are a lot of reasons people in England fly the flag. Football, familiar military ties and patriotism, or sadly racism and ignorance. We have just had our local elections and unfortunately a very racist political party has just won a lot of local elections. It is very much a political statement.

在我的祖国摩洛哥，悬挂国旗以前并不是一件很常见的事情，通常只有在婚礼或一些大型文化活动上才会挂国旗。但自从摩洛哥打进世界杯之后，悬挂国旗就变得很普遍了。我自己其实也不会经常挂国旗，只有在非常特殊的场合才会这么做。我觉得人们开始挂国旗，很大程度上是受世界杯足球赛的影响。

In my block, the only flag i have seen is a Pride-Flag 😊. But there are other Places that show flag. But its not everywhere and mostly football related. Also some places have a lot of Football-Team-Flags. In Germany people who have their Germany-Flag up every day, are sometimes problematic. Not everyone is bad . Its not good to be to prejudiced, and sometimes people get shamed for showing the flag. Germany still struggles with its national-pride, but sadly i had some bad conversations. I like seeing the Pride-Flag more 😁🏳️🌈

In Canada many people hang canadian flag outside their house, including immigrants. Yesterday was Canada Day, you see flags everywhere, also hats, Tshirts, etc.
