I rewatch all my edits all the time. Idc if I don’t go viral, idc if they flop, I just make what I want to see and that’s been great for me. At the end of the day I’ll always have these videos I’m proud of

Editors need to realize that their “audience” is their community, not the general public, and you gain an audience by building that community. When you support other editors, and people with similar drive and passion to you they are then incentivized to support you. What that creates is consistent and HONEST engagement, support and even critique. The goal of editing shouldn’t be to post until you get ONE video with hundreds of thousands of likes/views, it should be building a community of friends, mutuals and talented people to form the support system that you as a creative need to continue your work. I’d rather have twenty mutuals earnestly tell me I did a good job on an edit and be back for more than have 20k people type “peak” and never interact with me again.
