If you know your carreer is everything. If you know you have a passion that takes all your time, then why marry? Why bring kids into it when you know they will always come last? It is not fair to get people to love you and then don't care about them.

Yup. Ex wife is a partner in large firm. She loved work and law more than me and kids. That is why I am so happy both my kids don’t want to be lawyers.

This sound harsh, but deep down, everyone knows how much responsibility they carried in their relationship—with an ex-wife, ex-husband, or family. It's easy to blame a demanding career, but building a career and family at the same time is challenging. It requires sacrifice, communication, generosity, and empathy from both partners. Loving your work doesn't excuse neglecting the people who chose to build a life with you ❤️

I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing if you know it and are completely honest about it.. if you are with someone who doesn't require a lot of attention but when attention is needed and you give it then I don't see the problem

Balance is absolutely critical. When I’m with spirit it is the same as sitting with a client. Nothing more. It’s one part of me. I’m a person. I have human needs. I need friends, family, human connection. It hurts me to be isolated for 3 years. It’s not ok that you did this. It wasn’t necessary. I can’t be around manipulation…. But I could have been around honest people. I don’t know why people did it this way.
