It helps me to remember that He sees every version of me anyway. So I make it a point to be the one to come forward with whatever it is I’m feeling. As if to honour our relationship by telling Him myself, rather than having Him know only through his knowing. And that has helped me to have more love towards myself too, when you embrace it and bring to Him, rather than shame away from it.

I have the tendency to hide from God when I make mistakes, because of the fear of punishment. The fear that God will take something away from me that I love, but i’ve realized that’s not from God. That’s the spirit of anxiety filling my brain with lies. God doesn’t use punishment, he uses love and conviction. That’s where I get confused. It doesn’t make sense to me how someone can be so forgiving, over. and over again. As a human, we’d probably give up on that person, punish them to teach them a lesson. But i’ve learned that God doesn’t do that. And I have to remember he’s never against me, and always for me. Ugh. If anyone has any comments on this perspective, please lmk

The struggle for me is I don't know how to. I always struggled with that to the point that everything else that I do for him just feels and seems hypocritical because it's all performative. I always question how to get back up, where to start, and how to surrender.
