To even study Hawking radiation you would need to have covered GR and QFT. It’s post grad physics content, literally PhD level stuff. It has absolutely nothing to do with psychology or neuroscience.

I don't know nearly enough physics to answer this question without merely guessing. But my question is why would we assume quantum mechanics is even relevant to the information copied into objects clearly larger than quantum particles? Wouldn't just plain old entropy cover this?

Can we assume that black holes can exist at all? Wouldn’t the infinite time dilation at event horizon prevent the event horizon from ever being formed in the first place, due to the mass of the wannabe black hole being always evaporated via the hawking radiation before the horizon ever forms?
