the problem with retreads is the new tread layer has a tendency to delaminate which is the reason why they dont do that to passenger car tires in the United States.

For this use case where there isn’t a lot of centrifugal force acting on the tire since they’re for vehicles that mostly crawl around under 20mph it should be perfectly fine with no real fear of delamination. For passenger cars I wouldn’t.

This isn’t new. Recaps use to be a thing, but they’re dangerous at highway speeds. Thanks why tractors and other slower vehicles only have this done.
