Not because they have no emotions, but because they were taught that emotions are a weakness to be hidden, not a burden to be shared. So they smile through pressure, laugh through pain, and keep building while quietly breaking inside. A recent reflection on men and mental health reminds us of something deeply important: many of the men who appear the most lively, successful, and “fine” are often the ones fighting battles no one can see. And sometimes, when those battles go unattended, the outcome becomes tragic. This is why we must talk more about the mind of a man. Because the real attack is rarely first on his finances or his achievements, it is on his mind. Once a man loses control of his inner world, everything else begins to follow. His peace, his decisions, his relationships, and even his sense of identity become vulnerable. So today, especially on Father’s Day, this is not just a celebration, it is a reminder. To every man: guard your mind. Guard your heart. Not everything should be endured in silence. Strength is not the absence of struggle, it is the courage to confront it, speak it, and heal from it. To the people around men: do not assume that visibility means stability. Pay attention. Check in. Listen beyond the jokes and the “I’m fine.” We honour men today not only for what they carry in their hands, but for what they carry in their hearts and minds every single day.
