@thecurseofkkhammond: My steel Mule Resophonic Tricone and my National El Trovador mahogany single cone are my two favorite, most played, most loved resonator guitars. This Mule is a powerhouse. It sounds fantastic acoustic or electric. Every guitar is an individual, especially with hand built boutique guitars, and this particular one has always ticked all my boxes and remained to be my favorite Mule to play. Wooden resonators are underrated. This National is powerful and punchy beyond what you would expect, it easily holds a candle to metal bodied resos. I love the El Trovador body shape so much with its nice curves. As a small person, it fits my body perfectly and is so well balanced. Plus with a smaller nut width which suits my small hands. Most importantly, it’s light! Metal resonators are HEAVY and that takes a toll on your body after a while. This is hands down my favorite National to play.
