@rtoddcarter: Old School Sunday - June 1987. This is Rick Allison riding at the Converse AFA contest at Dominguez Hills in Carson, California. Rick was the king of power moves like the “top gun” (bar sit to handstand) and that Miami Hopper counter-balance thing. No matter how many legendary contests were held here at the legendary Velodrome spot - I can confirm it was indeed a challenging place to ride. Slanted in two directions with a drainage ditch in the center. 😉 And it’s hard to miss the iconic voice behind the mic - Charlie Litsky (RIP). One of the original AFA West Coast organizers.
