As a makeup artist, yes, there is a shortage of cool toned makeup. There’s an actual reason for this too. Cool toned makeup are usually made with pigments that come from materials that are harder (more expensive) to source. Asian products still lean very cool toned though for anyone having difficulty finding cool toned items. The only downside is the shade range. That’s why many shades from companies have changed tone over time. It’s cost efficiency.

As a fair cool toned girl. Yes there’s a HUGE shortage of cool toned makeup. And before yall say xyz blah blah blah. I enjoy looking dead lol. So a grey contour is my jam. A cool toned lip is my vibe and COOL. TONED. FOUNDATION. is nowhere to be found it’s all orange or yellow.

Just because it’s labeled as cool toned doesn’t mean it is, I have bought a ton of makeup labeled cool toned and the vast majority are actually neutral or even warm toned but just pale. Just being pale doesn’t make it cool toned.

Girl respectfully, it doesn’t really seem like you know what you’re talking about. You keep replying to people who are very much cool toned telling them that they’re not and your own makeup is very muted and traditional, your lips especially are imo way too pink and warm for your face so it stands out like a sore thumb. And that’s fine for you but that kind of look is not in fashion rn.

Just bc you can find cool toned makeup doesn’t mean there isn’t a shortage of it 😭😭 the blue pigment is more expensive so it’s been cut back in production a ton since the 90s
