Just run a universal sbc inline thermostat hosing on the outlet like a sbc does and dont run anything where the factory thermostat is. Cap the heater core line and go on with your day

Crusader makes everything for an LS to put right in a boat because they actually have an LS that goes on Boat. I had to buy the LS manifold to put in mine from Crusader.

they make a freeze plug that fits that hole pcm uses it to block it

That's a reverse flow ls pump if it's stock. Make sure the hose on top of the water pump is going to be able to suck water when your boat is in the water...or you might have some issues. Or find a different water pump and belt drive to make it flow opposite what GM did for the pump.

why not put a heat exchanger closed loop system that only pulls cold water to cook the exhaust jackets

it's pretty big washer in there like they do on a dragster trying to remember if we ever ran the thermostat I didn't think he had to cuz he just pump the water from the lake into your motor been a long time that I done that
