@thesameerproject: Rice and lentils. Simple. That’s all we can afford to cook. Yet families in Al-Safa Camp welcomed us because so many other sources of support have disappeared. International organizations have scaled back or stopped distributions entirely…and families are left asking a terrifying question: Where will our next meal come from? The reality is that food insecurity in Gaza is deepening. The World Central Kitchen has cut its meal distributions by 50% across Gaza. On June 13, The Sameer Project distributed 485 meals of Mujadara to displaced families in Al-Safa 2 Camp in Deir Al Balah. And it might be the only meal they have for the day. The total cost was $841 after 11% banking commission fees. We are feeling the strain too. Donations are decreasing while needs continue to grow. We cannot allow families to be forgotten at a moment when support is disappearing all around them. Please please give to support our kitchen. Donate to our Food and Water Campaign.
