@katieweeks23: Today is Father’s Day, and it’s also the 23rd anniversary of my dad’s death. Twenty-three years. It’s weird to think that I’ve spent so much more of my life missing my dad than actually knowing him. I’ve grieved him longer than I got to make memories with him. I wonder what he would think of the life I’ve built. I wonder what kind of grandpa he would have been to my kids. I wonder what advice he’d give me now that I’m an adult navigating life, marriage, parenting, work, and all the messy stuff that comes with it. The truth is, losing a parent when you’re young means you don’t just grieve them once. You grieve all the moments they miss, too. Twenty-three years later, I still wish I had more time. More memories. More stories. Missing you extra today, Dad. ❤️
