Laptop touchscreens are useless. The fold over ones may be more functional, like from Lenovo, but overall not a great experience. However, if they somehow made an MBP with detachable touch screen….not we’re talkin. Think the Surfacebook from a few years ago but not that ugly. 😂 Doubt they’ll ever do it because then you wouldn’t need an iPad. But it would be cool ,at some point, if they merged the laptop and iPad. Then you’re talking functional. If this happens it’ll likely take years so they can maximize profit off the iPad.

touch has always been there. Try using two fingers or more in macOS 26. Like scrolling on a website. They only added support for one finger gestures, which have always existed with apple pencils.

Imagine the fingerprint marks on a touchscreen Mac 😂 it’s already a magnet for dirt as it is, I don’t even touch my screen and it somehow ends up with marks or something on it. I would love if Apple did a upgraded version of the Touch Bar

I’m not thrilled that they got rid of the TouchBar. I use to use it every time I had Numbers or Pages, but now they removed all of the shortcuts for both apps. Hopefully they’ll bring them back with a touchscreen.
