@jessie_morales: There are no words big enough to thank my mom for everything she's carried alongside me through this journey. From the moment I told her I had cancer, she never hesitated. She showed up for me every single time without question. Every chemo infusion, every hard day, every breakdown, every moment I needed help...she was there. She missed work to take care of me. Watched my girls when I physically couldn't. Dropped everything the second I called. No matter what she had going on in her own life, she made me feel like nothing mattered more than being there for her daughter. I don't think people realize how much cancer affects the people who love you too. My mom carried this right beside me. She held me up on the days I felt weak, scared, exhausted, and defeated. She loved me through every version of myself during this season. Watching the way she cares for others, the way she loves so deeply and selflessly, makes me hope that one day I can be even half the mother she is. My girls are so lucky to have her, and I am even luckier to call her mine. Mom, thank you for being one of my safe places through the hardest chapter of my life.
