calls are made in the boundary of the field of play. so once you're at the goal line, it's all equal, so in this case, defender is on the goal line and offensive player is just past goal line. so shouldn't have been offsides. don't know if I explained that well enough

Soccer offside is one of the dumbest things in any sport. They need an offside system like NHL. Once in the zone you can be anywhere. Maybe it's just me but id like to see more than 1 goal in 90 minutes.
