Tomatoes like this will have zero taste because they get there taste from the sugar in the leaves. Yes this will work but this is basically the same tomato you get in the grocery store with zero flavor.

You actually should not prone so much. They need the leaves for photosynthesis. Also if you live in hot climates like over 90, the leaves protect the fruits against the heat.

There are a couple studies on this, but the short of it is the more you prune the less fruit your tomato plant produces. This is especially exacerbated with determinant plants.

nope. been growing tomatoes for 30 years and I only prune bottom branches so not touch ground. I always have the best healthest, robust plants that produce hundreds of fruits. if that was natures way, it would have evolved that way.

its not completely wrong but they produce way more if you don't. I just prune for airflow and take off the bad leaves.

The leaf you pruned didn't get in the way of the flowers producing fruit. Tomatoes self-pollinate.

So. I didn’t prune. Like at all. But I’m scared the tomato won’t turn red now, I tried to prune and just heard things snapping so I stopped. Any advice???
