@wildlife.victoria: Another life saved 🤎   Wildlife Victoria volunteers Ali and Steve shared this wonderful video with us after being dispatched to check the pouch of a deceased wombat.   As you can see, pouch checks only take a few minutes, and you never know, you may save a life!   This little joey is doing well in care with rehabilitator Pam and will be released back to the wild once he is old enough.   Our Emergency Response Service is available 24/7 on 03 8400 7300 for sick, injured, or orphaned wildlife, and our Emergency Response Operators can talk you through how to conduct a pouch check or dispatch a trained Wildlife Victoria volunteer. #wildlife #wildliferescue
