This isn’t a flex, unless it’s for a short period of time. I will always prioritise being at home. Work life balance, I’m not working myself into the ground and missing out on making memories. I earn enough to have a nice life, I don’t need a massive house and fancy cars.

I’m about to go to the quarry 60 hours a week. I know it’s not much for all of you fucking riggers and shit but deep down it still hurts me being away from my nine month old and Mrs but I know when I’m sitting on that porch with my beer in a hand watching the footy on the TV with a barbecue going and my daughter’s running around it’ll all be worth it but it still hurts. I have to put that time away.

my husband works on the rigs from 3am to roughly 7 or 8pm, it’s so hard. he’s so tired when he’s home so i don’t get the full him. we have 2 kids together and im pregnant with our 3rd and it’s so hard!

my man switches from day shift(3:30am-3:30pm) to night shift(3:30pm-3:30am) every week he works and is 2 hours away he's gone for a week then home for a week 🥲
