It’s been 8months and some days seems to be getting harder. I sit at my desk and cry because I heard a song my son loved. I silent cry while I’m typing an email or having lunch. I get home walk into his room and say, hi son how was yr days and lay in his bed just like I always did, but now I’m crying.

This is the first week my kids are with my wife. I’ve been showing up for them for the past three years. Since I asked my wife to tell them a year ago that she was choosing to divorce I have been able to talk to them more about it and show up for myself. Luckily I will see them halfway through the week for dinner and have them all next week. It’s hard but I also respect my wife’s choices even though I don’t agree with them. Showing up while grieving was the hardest thing I have ever been through and I thank God every day for what I had, have and will have. 💙🙏
