Baby trans woman’s opinion: Jax is trans (confirmed by Goose). A while ago she said that Jax is a self insert of all of her intrusive thoughts and the stuff she felt she would be doing if she hadn’t been able to start her transition. The reason (I believe) Jax doesn’t have a female avatar is because, as told in episode 9, she tried to tell her mom but her mom completely shut her down and told her it was just a phase, which is harmful for a young trans person, so she pushed it down and didn’t want to feel it. While in the show, Jax is hinted at being trans through stereotypes, it’s unfortunate that in most cases, that’s the only way people will know someone is trans is THROUGH stereotypes. While I do think it could’ve been shown so much better, it’s the easiest way Goose could’ve shown how Jax was supposed to be.
