Here's a YouTube link where 2 writers ( G= Allan Guth and V = Vilenkin ) of the BGV theorem explain that this theorems only talk about the inflation state that could no be expanding forever ( it doesn't exclud model with no beginning like big bounce said Allan Guth in the video at time 31:16 ) and the theorem assume that H>0 ( therefore stop i validity of the H=0 or H<0 like in a case of Big freeze and Crunch ) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGKe6YzHiME

BGV theorem argues against an infinite past, not an eternal universe. An infinite past is not required for an eternal universe; a finite timeline could exist eternally.

even tho you could argue against the cosmological argument, I feel like it was a bit badly represented. I beleive its more like if things change they must have been changed by something else, like to get hot water you must have something already hot to heat it up, and so on. so thus there must be something that is the final cause of things, and that thing must be unchanging. so people point to a diety. tho i'm sure with modern science this also isnt full proof but I think atleast its better than just saying "universe came from somewhere"

Flawed arg. I got time so ima breakdown why it's flawed:But look at what these arguments actually establish: So in arg1 (cosmological),you pointing to a necessary foundation says nothing about consciousness. Arg 2 (mathematics / divine conceptualism): to explain abstract mathematical truths, it assumes a mind. But it does not prove the foundation must be a mind. An impersonal, necessary "world" (like the mathematical universe Hypothesis) also works just as good. Arg 3 (consciousness): I think you claim that consciousness cannot be reduced, so it is fundamental. But even if true, this only establishes "consciousness" as a foundational property. It does not confirm the existence of a single, free-willed, morally judging "God" as described in Christianity. Arg 4 (fine-tuning): just points to a purposive/intentional designer. This is the first genuinely strong argument pointing toward a "mind,"its still flawed because we have no independent way through observation pattern to say that the universe is created or not created by a mind. There's no base

The universe expands. It has potential. It has to have a starting point where and when it began

I like also to combine vertical motion chain argument (credit to Feser, Aristotle argument), then go to PSR and then divine conceptualism and then press atheistic paradigm on objective meaning of life and morality and then I think Theism is practical for life and probably true

Even Guth doesn't hold to the idea that the universe had a beginning, BGV theorem points to the beginning of the expansion, the original physicists don't even hold to the conclusions you do

The BGV theorem doesn't prove that the universe is finite, nor does it imply such. The creators made a video on YouTube clarifying this, in fact, 2 of the 3 authors believe that the universe is eternal if I'm not mistaken.

So i can't really talk about the philosophical side of things but the bgv theorm does not reject a eternal past in anyway instead it just means that the expansion of the universe had a beginning
