In ELA we would have these journal prompts and sometimes when my teacher couldn’t think of anything she’d do a free write prompt. I’d always use that to write about how things were going with me and a girl I’d been with for a while. I wrote so much about us to the point my ELA teacher would joke that even she loved her now. One day we had a free write prompt and I turned it in and when she saw it didn’t have anything about me and her in it she asked about it. I told her “she stopped thinking about me, so I stopped writing about her” and she never asked me about her ever again.
