@ryanwaidtattoos: The biggest honor a tattoo artist can have: Tattooing another tattooer. I had the opportunity to create this Lord of the Rings inspired Elf girl for my friend Destiny! @shimmerxsmoke @Destiny Destiny had so many great ideas for this tattoo. Honestly, she made creating the design an easy process. She wanted to include a few specific things, and then she trusted me to create the rest. My favorite part of this tattoo is all of the Easter Eggs hidden in the details. • The script above the portrait is actually lyrics from her wedding song, translated into Elvish writing. • The sword is a tribute to her son, Theo. It’s modeled exactly like the sword of King Theoden in the Lord of the Rings movies. • If you look closely at the hand holding the sword, the ring finger on the left hand has Destiny’s actual wedding ring on it. We took photos of a ring, and we were able to capture a lot of the unique details and shapes of the diamonds in her ring. These are the kind of unique, personalized details that I love to include in my tattoos. Every line is designed with intention.
