it's been a year for me. at first it was pure bliss, excitement, and enthusiasm for life. and then it went downhill from there. but i know something profoundly changed. i agree with the reconceptualizing part btw.

I never felt any bliss or sparks or altered state at all. What I can describe was a slow unrevealed of things, a calm joy that visits me from time to time and an almost constant feeling of peace and contentment that I cherish and am truly thankful for. Is bliss a constant in enlightment and am I missing something that is fundamental for awakening?

Yep this is exactly it, the immensity and profound realization that there is no thinker in there and therefore no you takes time to fully bed in, ego does not go away or give in quietly so gently and slowly you begin to come round to simply sitting in the experience and let it be. Surender sounds simple but the opposite is true as it’s very difficult to undo the years of conditioning

Has anyone else had awakenings over the years where you get a clear sign that there is something more than this reality we see and then months later you start doubting it again or just feel like you’re not really sure and you want more signs but you can’t get them?
