I’m 5 years in and I still do it this every tattoo, just post it. You’re the only one that’s going to notice those small mistakes, just learn from them and always focus on doing better ❤️

you gotta take it slow, my mentor once said you gotta pull those lines with confidence, if you don’t you can see when you’re not confident in your lines. process of elimination when your lines aren’t clean: hand speed, machine speed, needle depth, etc. you gotta find the right flow for things. think of like when you’re drawing on paper you’re going to glide your pen across the skin, you’re not going to take it super super slow. it seems like ur machine looks like it could be going fast but ur running your hand too slow. so play around with it. especially areas where you’re doing a patch of black. that’s where I practiced most to find the sweet spot of making lines.

Baby post your work I had a mentor sit with me and tell me even if you don’t like it your client left your chair happy and that’s what matters our eyes are training themselves to catch details like that but other people don’t understand the concept of tattooing what I see they don’t notice. Let others love your work as well <33

as a fellow new artist im my own worst critic... I always wonder if I made a mistake getting into this field... but than someone from the fay before messages me with a new idea and says they cant wait to be back already. so I keep on. 😭

I point out every single mistake. If your skin is too raised I won’t post. Too oily, won’t post. Too red won’t post. One inconsistent line, won’t post.
