its always a trap you do it once and then the rest of your time there they just assume and then get confused or annoyed as to why you won't do said thing on a regular basis

I have 3 people that do permanent overtime because the economy is so bad. I got them 3-5 dollar raises each when I took over early this year. They still want that overtime and as long as they want it they can have it. 🤝

I offered to help ONE time with a weekend shift because I was free that weekend and we were hosting an adoption event. Next thing I knew my weekends were gone until I finally put in my 2 weeks notice after 5 months of being promised I’d be given my weekends back

Yeah I had worked 14 nights straight 😭😭 when my boss called me on my next day off he wanted me again but I said no cause my body needed to recover

I MISS OT. my job starting putting limitations due to trying to cut labor and we streamlined some processes but gods it was nice cause I was happily pulling 80hrs /wk. I was making $50/hr with that OT
