I’m too scared of infection to leave my port line out but I do often leave my feeding tube visible bc every time I don’t someone pressures me about food or says something stupid and my backpack isn’t medical looking and people try to get me to leave it outside stores 🙃

i just don’t get it because maybe my central line is placed lower than others, but unless i’m wearing a super low cut top, you have to bend the line to get it at the top of ur shirt, and that’s super uncomfortable 🤷♀️also like i understand it has a cap on it but i don’t want it just out and exposed yk? (yes i understand it still gets exposed under my shirt but in my brain it feels cleaner)

I tried saying this years ago and got called out and drug through the dirt😭 and it’s always the ones that are “septic” every other week. I’m not sorry for being “rude”. It’s unnecessary to purposely have your line hanging out especially when not being used.
