Ephesians identifies Paul as its author, but most modern critical scholars think it was written after Paul’s death by an anonymous disciple writing in Paul’s name, probably around 80–90 CE. This is based mainly on differences in vocabulary, writing style, theology, and its close relationship to Colossians. Traditional and some contemporary scholars still defend direct Pauline authorship. The name behind Matthew was likely the Hebrew Mattityahu (מַתִּתְיָהוּ), meaning “gift of YHWH,” rendered in Greek as Matthaios. Greek Matthaios became Latin Matthaeus, and English later shortened that form to Matthew. The Gospels complicate the identification because Matthew calls the tax collector “Matthew,” while Mark and Luke call a similar figure “Levi,” and later Christian tradition treated them as the same man.

My wife tried to tell me how the different frequencies of crystals will heal you and that there were studies on it. I told her I respect her belief but there is no scientific data that supports that theory and to please not speak to me about it again.

My daughter asked the other day, why in the world God would love us humans more than all the animals of the world when they don’t harbor hate/evil like we do. I didn’t have a answer. I want her to believe we have a creator but to always question everything. I’ve never been more proud of her.
