The past two days, Jade has been sick. Yesterday morning, she had a pretty bad cough, so we had her get in the shower to see if the steam would help break some of it up. When she got out, she wanted a pair of long socks, specifically MY socks. So I told Sahvanna to go grab her a pair. Little did I know, one of the pairs was Scream socks that someone had given me a while back. When Sahvanna handed them to Jade, this little girl REFUSED to put them on. Her exact words were, “These are not God socks. This is a killer. I’m not wearing them because God wouldn’t like it. Get rid of them now!” Y’all, I could not be more proud of this girl! 🥹❤️ It’s not just about a pair of socks. It’s about watching your child develop her own relationship with the Lord, recognize what she believes is right, and stand firm in her faith—even over something as small as a pair of socks. THIS is why it matters that our children see us walking with Jesus. They are watching us, learning from us, and building their own faith. We can talk to them about God all day long, but there is something so beautiful about watching them make choices because they genuinely want to honor Him. My prayer is that my babies will always have the courage to stand firm in their faith, even when the world around them says otherwise. That they will never be afraid to stand up for what they believe and that they will always choose to honor the Lord in the big things AND the little things. Raise them up in the Lord, y’all. They are the next generation, and I pray they grow up to be a generation that boldly stands for Jesus! “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6 🙌🏼
