please don't use "ai detectors", just use the "airport" check. ai detectors will scrape the essays of student who actually wrote on their own and will use them to train the company that owns them's generative ai

I noticed my professor do this in my mythology class (I liked to copy the essay prompts and paste them into a google doc so I could work at my own pace without the ticking clock making me nervous) and I was always highly amused at the words he chose for AI to use. several times I actually whipped out a dictionary cause hed have such a strange, antiquated word choice for AI to use and I couldn't stop thinking about what the hell that word meant xD

A lot of people use dark mode and if they highlight that last bit they'll see what it says and simply not copy it. This isn't going to work on anyone.
