These videos are funny. It’s called maintenance people. Every 100 hours. I have had mercs, Johnson, and Yamahas. To say one is better than the other is opinion only.

I had 1200 hours on my Evinrude and it’s still running strong, but I had a customer come with Suzuki with 100 hours and it corroded through in six different spots

Yamaha is king for 300hp and under. mercury is better for 350-600hp in my opinion. Just need keep extra belts for supercharger on board if you have a verado lol

My 20 yr old Yamaha f-115 has almost 8800 hrs. To buy new one it’s a little over 9200 bucks where I live with installation. I’m going to wait till it’s 9200 hrs before I change unless it blows up before. Mechanic says it won’t last but he’s been saying that since it was 2000 hrs. Changed many belts on it but never anything major
