Spider-Man larp found this is NOT how his powers work. It's not controlling the coefficient of friction with his whole body, it is extremely small barbed hairs on his palms and the soles of his feet that grip things and they are not anywhere else

I disagree I think its fundamentally additive. I think he can stick to things like you grip an object with various degrees of intensity. I've seen no evidence he can actively reduce friction.
