That everything ends the same, Always. But if there’s one thing that is making me lose sleep every night since I met him, It’s not just that he has spent the last 4 years of his life alone, Its that when it was time to leave, I realized that he knew I was there the whole time, But he decided sometimes it’s not always better to have loved and lost, Than to have never known love at all. Damon is just 5 years old but has spent 4 years in the shelter. He has been dog friendly, he’s playful and loyal with the volunteers he knows are coming back.
