True Shaytan. Nosferatu Zodd is one of the most legendary warriors in Berserk — a monstrous apostle feared across battlefields for centuries. Known as “Zodd the Immortal,” he exists as both a terrifying beast and a warrior obsessed with finding worthy opponents. Unlike many apostles in Berserk, Zodd is not driven mainly by cruelty, greed, or pleasure. What defines him is combat itself. He respects strength above everything else, and his entire existence revolves around war, bloodshed, and the pursuit of powerful enemies. This gives him a strange sense of honor that separates him from most demons in the series. In his human-like form, Zodd appears as a massive, intimidating warrior with wild hair, immense physical strength, and overwhelming presence. But his true apostle form is far more horrifying — a gigantic horned beast with wings, claws, and animalistic fury capable of slaughtering armies alone. Zodd first encounters Guts during the Golden Age arc, where he immediately recognizes Guts as someone extraordinary. Their battle becomes one of the earliest moments showing that the world of Berserk contains forces far beyond normal humanity. Zodd senses that Guts carries a destiny tied to darkness and warns him about Griffith before the Eclipse ever happens. What makes Zodd especially compelling is his relationship with Griffith after Griffith becomes Femto.
