@shelter_ugolyok_9: The first week of April, Theodore cut his heel bulb open and lacerated his coffin joint and artery. I found him ble3ding profusely. I rushed him to the emergency hospital with a tourniquet on, my clothes covered.. and despite the situation… he was incredibly stoic. Once he was checked in, I started my journey home.. only to receive a call for the doctor that he had collapsed and probably wouldn’t make it. I turned around, rushing back to the hospital. I was completely numb. After all that Theodore had overcome.. this couldn’t be it. But when I walked in, he got to his feet.. and that began our month long battle of survival. The next day I brought Theo’s best friend, Braxton, to the hospital to donate bl00d to Theodore.. which was his third transfusion. Once he was stable.. then began the healing of the coffin joint. Euthanasi@ was mentioned, as the odds of the coffin joint healing and allowing him to be sound was slim to none.. but not impossible. And with the medical team we are blessed to have.. and Theodore’s will to live.. I knew we had to try. So his foot was casted to prevent movement of the joint.. and almost every other day I drove up to the hospital to see him. He was so restless being stalled, but the hospital staff kept him happy.. and when the cast came off.. the joint had closed. A true miracle- thanks again to his amazing doctors and team. And thus.. Theodore got to come home and join his best friend, now bl00d brother, Braxton and herd. The past month home has been a healing journey all its own… with bandage changes and keeping the wound clean… but today.. you almost wouldn’t know anything had ever happened. Theo gallops across the field as he did before.. rolls in the pond.. and without a doubt.. is standing next to Braxton.. overlooking their kingdom. . . None of this would be possible without you, HHHH family. Thank you for loving our kids the way you do. We are so grateful. . . . And to my comeback kid… you are the true boy wonder, Theo.
