I’m only asking because a lot of times people in the Black community say they want people to be honest, but when they are, there’s backlash. As a TRANSWOMAN and Transgender Recording Artist, I use my voice and lyricism to bring up issues, topics ANDDD conversations that need to be discussed 🗣️ to make the world think and see things from different perspectives. Especially the point of view where MOST times, MEN KNOW they are dealing with trans women BUT they may not want the world to know, so they resort to violence because of the internal battles, fear, judgment, and societal pressure that can come when the truth is exposed. The real conversation isn’t always about the attraction itself. Sometimes it’s about what happens when the truth comes out, how people react to that truth, and whether someone feels safe enough to be honest about who they are and how they feel without fear of rejection, ridicule, isolation, or violence. The internet is in a FRENZY talking about the song.
