Personally I see eye for an eye in everything. I believe that rapists should be raped so they can feel that same fear and belittlement that their victims felt. Some punishment just isn’t fit for that. Just like thieves should have their valuables stripped away. Men that are found guilty of abusing women should be beaten by men much stronger than them

that's not my problem with it, the problem isn't the killing, it's the unjust killing, the taking of an innocent life. and tbf the most popular argument in favor is, this person will be locked up for life anyway, less strain to the to everyone else, they're too dangerous for society regardless. i don't agree with that either. the reason i'm against it is you can never be 100% sure someone did it. there have been people acquitted while on death row, there have also been people proven innocent post execution. THAT is the taking of an innocent life and THAT is the exact offense we accuse them of, i'm against that more than the general concept of taking the life of a (in most cases people are sentenced to death for) being an extremely dangerous and unremorseful murderer.

The death penalty is punitive, because it ends the life of an criminal directly. The alternative is incarceration, which is the same in effect. A person incarcerated for life with no chance of parole is still being sentenced to die. He's just being sentenced to die of old age in a location of your choosing, rather than lethal Injection, hanging, or firing squad.

Why do we “kidnap” kidnappers? Why do we “traffick” human traffickers? In order to administer justice of any kind, not just the death penalty, we have to presume that a person doing it and the justice system doing it are two different things.
