this is actually a rlly good perspective on the situation. how can you say you are successful because of democracy and pride in your independence when your main trading partner is the one you turn your back upon? you may then ask about freedom and liberty, but china has alr guaranteed protection of speech after reunion (although it is worth mentioning the skepticism of this). in my opinion tho, the question should not be which government promises more freedom but rather which government promises freedom, as well as other quota, and fulfills, as well as works best for the people. idrk tho im js watching all this unfold from america pls correct honestly😭
