The answer to this is free will. These innocent people are suffering at the hands of the free will of other people. They will all answer to their acts on the day of judgement, but right now, if God was to interfere with everyone’s free will, our love for Him would be forced, and we would all be slaves to Him, which isn’t what He wants. With free will comes responsibility, and some of us obviously don’t care at all, hence why we have people doing evil things. But from a Biblical perspective, the suffering is temporary, whereas eternal peace is guaranteed. There’s also a book in the Bible that talks about why bad things happen to good people, even if they also believe in God: it’s the book of Job, in the Old Testament. There’s much more that goes into this, but it’s too much for one comment. I hope this does somehow help to explain it, even if you still feel a sense of injustice 🥲
